How Fresh is your Fish? What does Fresh Mean?
  Twenty years ago Seattle Fish Co sold about 80% frozen and 20% fresh seafood.  Today, those numbers have swapped making over 80% of our seafood fresh, never frozen. Due to our geographic location, we are able to quickly receive seafood from all coasts. We work directly with fisherman, boats and farms on each coast to direct-ship, often times within hours of catch or harvest. Most importantly, the freshness of seafood depends on how it is handled once it is out of the water.  Seattle Fish Co. has been safely handling seafood for nearly 100 years. This ensures that you receive the absolute freshest seafood possible.  

There are some seafood items that are refreshed (previously frozen and safely thawed at Seattle Fish Co) such as Halibut during the off-season (winter) and Chilean Sea Bass.  We also carry some seafood items that are frozen, such as some shrimp varieties and calamari. How often does the fish and seafood offerings change?
  Since Chef's Fresh Fish is a new online marketplace we have aimed to offer seafood that is regularly in stock.  We will be continuously adding to the website as we grow and highly recommend contacting us if there is something you are specifically looking for; we add products based on feedback! Email the fishmonger at fishmonger@seattlefish.com .  Also, there will be times when items listed on the website will be marked as out of stock due to Mother Nature and uncontrollable circumstances. Check back though, we may be getting a delivery tomorrow!
What time will I receive my order?
  We proudly utilize Fed-Ex for Overnight Priority Shipping.  If your order is placed by 1pm Mountain Time on Monday through Thursday, you will receive your shipment on your doorstep by 10:30am the following morning (unless you live in a rural zip code, which guarantees a 12:00pm delivery the following day).  Any orders placed after 1pm Mountain Time will be fulfilled the following processing day.  Processing days are Monday through Thursday.
Why don't you ship to Colorado?
  Chef's Fresh Fish is a division of Seattle Fish Co. located in Denver, CO.  Seattle Fish Co. already distributes to restaurants, grocery stores and markets within the state of Colorado.  To find our seafood check out your local King Soopers, City Market, Tony's Meats, Marczyk's Fine Foods and a large number of restaurants in the state.  Chef's Fresh Fish was developed to offer seafood to United States residents that live outside of the state of Colorado.
